When I saw Jackie Schachter's card in the CDAC gallery, it reminded me how effective paper piecing is - the beautiful choice of papers makes these cards really special!

I'm back!
I hope you all a Happy Easter!
I got back today and was greeted with a lovely email from Jo (Dotty's Pudding's Place) with a link to her card using the Easter Bunny.
Check out here the original post.
I know it is been a while from my latest release, but I'll have something next week, I promise - plus the a great surprise I mentioned earlier.

A communion card
Rita Behan emailed me this gorgeous card (or rather a photo of it). She layered velum on her dress, it looks so delicate, I love it!

Bunny Cards
Jackie made two cards with the Easter Bunny images, here's one of them, sweet as can be:
Check the second one on her blog.
Jackie also has a photo blog, you gotta go and check the Old Curiosity Shop post.
Vera is responsible for this cutie, I love how she coloured his cheeks in pale pink.

A digital card
I did this card while watching TV - no paper, no scissor, just my laptop. I will later print it and pop it into a card. While I love the physical aspects of doing crafts, it is sometimes fun to make a 100% digi card.

One MamiDoodles card, one stamped one
Did I tell you about Molly? I designed her for Jackie, for this month's cardmaking class. Jackie gave her a name and gave me great input regarding how she should looked like. All I will tell you is that she looks better and it is much more versatile thanks to Jackie. This is Molly, she aint in the shop yet, but I'll have her out this week, check this blog later!
Gorgeous by nature, Gorjuss by name.
You might not be able to see it, but I stamped into a Basic Grey subtle patterned paper (similar to this one) and then just coloured her dress, cheek and the little hearts in her boots. This is a technique I'll repeat with my digis as I was very pleased with the result.
The main reason I got into digital stamps is that me and rubber stamps don't get along. It takes about 3 to 5 tries to get an usable print - and I just don't have the patience. However I had to have one of these stamps. I just had. She's gorgeous, I love her.

Cards, yours and mine
This is Sarah's:
Everything is so original, pretty and elegant (notice the hat!), I love her too.
And this is mine, for PaperPlay:

And this is mine, for PaperPlay:
*Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket (dots) and Making Memories (red), unknown (yellow and white)
* flowers: from Cara Craft Supplies
Colour's a bit yucky, result of night time photo with flash... I like the floral border thought. I doodled flowers and leaves in a red card & cut them out and assembled them together. With a little more TLC it might turn out into a stamp, who know?

Forgot to post this one, another Valentine Card
* Paper and Speech Bubble: Cant' Buy Me Love digital kit by Shimelle Laine @ 2Peas
* image: Mr Mouse in Love
I came to the conclusion that the previous card was a bit too minimal for a little boy, so at the last minute I made the one above. I popped the speech bubble over the digital paper in PSE, printed it and stuck the mouse over it. Easy peasy!

PaperPlay and a new image
Sandie has a sketch for us this week, and I made a card for my daughter who is eight today.
It is my first easel card, they're so easy to make and cute. I used an image I've been working on, there's a couple of things I want to fix and then I'll have it for sale.
Check the PaperPlay blog, there's lots of inspiration there and a great prize to be won.
My teammate Kate used a MamiDoodles stamp, doesn't she look cute blonde and wearing blue&brown?
Colouring the hearts in the same colour as the shirt gave a lacy effect to the dress, I love it!

Honeybunch, honeybee & honeypot
This week's challenge in PaperPlay was to make a birthday card for someone special.
I had my choice, as my husband's birthday is in the 9th and my daughter's in the 20th. Besides my sis in law got married last February. Guess when is her husband's birthday? Yep, February again. Adding this to a friend's birthday on the 18th, it is a birthday filled month.
In the end, I did my husband's card first:

In the end, I did my husband's card first:
We call each other (sometimes) honeybunch. When the kids came along, I nicknamed them honeybee and honeypot.
I had seem some minimal cards somewhere- lots of white space, a few small embellies and text underneath - and decided to emulate it. The bee is a drawing of mine, I'm giving it some final touches and it will be for sale tomorrow.
TFL!

Oh Joy!
I really really get a big kick everytime I see that a card or a project using the Mami Doodles digis. Here's what my PaperPlay teammates Liz and Kate made.
Kate's card using the Girl with Garland.

And she also took Mr Mouse to the Crafty Angels challenge:

Liz used the girl in PJ for a door hanger, isn't this a brilliant idea? More photos in her blog.

It couldn't be more girly, with roses, pearls, feathers and lace - perfect! Also notice that she used the background paper in the Girl in Pyjamas kit.

Playing with my new stamp
I had some time to play with my newest stamp this weekend. I didn't use it for Valentine's card - one is meant for my daughter, her birthday is in February. I am not sure if it is going to be a card a mini-image for her to put on her desk.
This is a Thank You card, the background paper was given by Vicky, my Secret Santa in last year's Cara Craft Supplies forum, and the stamp by Julie, who was my Secret Santa in 2008.

Liz and Jackie's cards
My PaperPlay Challenges teammate Liz used a couple of my digi stamps to make stunning cards.

Check more of Liz's creations at Lace Ribbons Buttons & Bows.
And the super cardie Jackie Mooney has another card in her blog using Mami Doodles stamps. Jackie's monthly workshops are always booked out, which is not surprise at all, look at the workshop cards here.

The Happy Birthday circle is a fab freebie by Wendy.

For Valentine's Day - Mr Mouse in Love
I made a mouse pattern for the Girl in Pyjamas and I liked it so much that I decided to give the little mouse a kit of his own. And since Valentine's Day is fast approaching, I gave him a romantic heart! :-)
Please meet Mr Mouse:
The good news is that the Mr Mouse set of 4 digi stamps cost only 99 cent and the better news is that it is FREE with any Mami Doodles purchase from today until Valentine's Day - in this case DON'T put Mr Mouse in the shopping cart - I'll send it to you with the other purchase.
Please meet Mr Mouse:
Shimelle Laine's Can't buy me love digi kit works perfectly with it, I love the heart pattern and I just know I'll be using the "I love you" speech bubble a lot.

Cards and a Winner!
Wendy wins the digital stamp, I didn't need to get a hat to pull the names as she was the only contender! Send me your email address please and I'll email you the kit.
I want to show this card, made by Sabrina - I love the soft colours of the snowflake girl against the dark tree and the watercoloured sky.
Jackie used the Christmas Angel in this gorgeous card, using the angel 3 times was really effective!
Here's my own card, using the Christmas freebie too.

I have many reasons to thanks Sarah, she is always very encouraging and having heard that I started using Promarkers, she promptly sent me her duplicates, what a sweet thing to do. Thank you!

And don't forget to go and check her blog, it is ful of beautiful things.
And I am adding a couple of more digistamps to my little shop, check it out tomorrow.
