Challenge #15: Gift Items

The winner of the 14th Challenge is Patty Chapman, chosen by random.org, with this gorgeous Christmas Card:

Patty had her name in the virtual hat twice, as she used a Mami Doodles image.

Congrats Patty, please email me with your choice of image and I'll send you your prize!

Trinh set the challenge for the next two weeks:

"Make a handmade/altered gift item"

Please link your card/layout/project at the end of this blog. This challenge will run until the Thursday 9th of December, midday . The prize will be the last 3 images released (Shooting Star, Baby Teddy and Kaz), plus one of your choice. Cards using Mami Doodles images - including freebies - will have two entries on the draw.

I am pleased to announce a new addition to the DT: Khalinne. Like all the members of the team, she is a gifted cardmaker and with a special style which will add even more beauty to this team. Welcome Khalinne!

I apologise to Kerstin, our Guest Designer, as I forgot to email her the challenge on time. Totally and trully my fault, hopefully she'll be able to join us for the next challenge.

"I made a coloring book for this challenge. I printed out about 20 of Elisa's wonderful images and used a Bind-It-All to make a 4.25x5.5 inch book for my daughter."

"Can you tell I really enjoyed this challenge? :o)"

A Fruity Thank You!

DT member Vera's card drive was a huge success. If I needed proof (and I didn't) that cardmakers are a nice and caring bunch, that was it. Many many people took time to make cards to cheer up the ones who might need a little love in their lives.

And Vera, being the sweet person that she is, wanted to give a little thank you to all of you, not only the lucky prize winners but each one of you. She asked for my help, and here it is, a little freebie, with lots of love.

Download it here. With compliments, from Vera and me.
Available from from Friday 19th of November to Thanksgiving Day.

Saturday treats!

Here I am watching X-factor (DD's choice). Not bad, but I enjoy much more looking at beautiful cards, like these ones:

Linda's card for her beloved grandson, more details in her blog.

And Patty Chapman's second card with Julia, so cute:

Patty has agreed to be our January Guest Designer so you will see  more of here beautiful creations here.

That's all for today, I am hoping that D* will have a card to show me soon. ;-)
Have a great weekend!!!!

Challenge #14: Fuzzy

I have lots of things to be thankful for. Talking only about the craft side of things, I am grateful for the friends I made through crafting, for being able to share what I love to do, for the members of the DT, past, present and future. For the people that post and email with kind end encouraging words. For the people that like and purchase the images, and for the ones that show me what they've made with them.

For all of you a big, collective thank you! You are the best, and you brighten up my days.

I'll try to give back, by trying to keep a better blog, by listening to what you have to say and also by having freebies every now and then, of course :-)

On the blog side, I have added Google translator and search on the right hand side. Shame on me to have taken so long to add the translator for I, more than anybody else, should know that English is not everybody's first language!

The winner of the 13th Challenge is Libeeti with this pretty and feminine box:

Libeeti, please email me with your choice of image and I'll send you your prize.

The challenge for the next two weeks is:
Fuzzy
Use felt, soft flowers, flocking or anything that can be considered fuzzy on your project.

Please link your card/layout/project at the end of this blog. This challenge will run until the Thursday 25th of November, midday. The prize will be the last 3 images released (Kaz, Mr Mouse's Christmas and Julia), plus one of your choice. Cards using Mami Doodles images - including freebies - will have two entries on the draw.

Now for the best part, some DT genius to share!!!

Starting with our fabulous Guest Designer:

"The little bear motif is felt."

"Not the usual Christmas colors but bright & cheerful. This is my last card for Vera's card drive. Time to ship 'em out!"

"I used flocks on the fireplace and the mouse ears."

I am sad to announce that Elisa Beggs has stepped out of the DT. She'sa wonderful cardmaker and I'll miss her a lot. I wish you the best of luck in your businness, Elisa!

Blog makeover

I gave the blog a much needed makeover a few days ago, did you notice? Besides the banner, I tried to improve the navigation on the blog:

Under the banner there's a quick way to get to some key posts, like the challenges and the faq.

For a quick view of all the images, look on the right hand side, click to see all the girl/boys/etc images in a single page. From there you can go to the original post by clicking on the image.

Let me know what you think, and if you have suggestions for improvements, I'd love to hear from you!

Mr Mouse's Christmas - November's Promotional Item

Mr. Mouse is an old friend - he was featured in a Valentine's Day image set, and since he is still very well liked, I decided to invite him for our Christmas "do".
