Any more entries for the challenge?

There's still 8 days left, why don't you have a go?

Some clarifications - there's no need to use any of my stamps, or any stamp for that matter. It can be a card, scrapbook page or any other project, as long as it uses the colours in the challenge.

*** Since I really really want to give away prizes this month, comments now get a prize too: ***

Leave a comment on the challenge post (this one) with a suggestion for a new image and I'll do a draw for the Midori kit. If you post an entry for the challenge, you're on for 2 draws, the challenge one and the comments one.

Come back here on Thursday to check my new digi stamp.

Yipeee, the first DT post plus a challenge!

THE DESIGN TEAM

I am delighted to present you the first entries from the best Design Team a girl could ever wish for:

Lily's is a "Pochi-bukuro" - a money wallet.

Card 4

Vera

MamiDoodles

April Guest Designer Sabrina

Sabrina's card apart from being gorgeous is an interactive one, that's what she said:

"I made a little paper doll you could dress.
There are tabs on her dresses, but then I also used Sailor two-way glue as repositionable glue, so that I could "hang" them in the wardrobe. And although originally I was going to just pop the little girl up on thick foam dots, I realised that she'd be easier to dress if you could remove her altogether, so I used a Basic Grey magnetic snap to attach her to the card. For the background I just used some fancy textured Bazzill and a little cloud of butterflies.
Kimono papers were downloaded from the Canon website, scaling them down."

THE CHALLENGE

At the last minute we decided to add a challenge too.
Vera has set the first challenge, a colour challenge:

"Use wheat/khaki, sky blue and red."  Inspired by this picture, found here:

As you can see, Rachel, Vera and Jackie's entries fit the challenge and Deirdre has made an extra project to inspire you even more:

Link your entries here for a chance to get the Midori stamp plus a another of your choice.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

Midori is here!

Midori is one of my favourite names, it means "Green" in Japanese. This girl likes to dress up, so I have her in 3 different outfits, and also a template for paper piecing or cutting. Print the girl undressed and colour it. Then use the template to make the dress in patterned paper. It is a great way to use paper scraps, specially one with small patterns.

Available in the shop, direct link here.

Come back tomorrow for the DT first post and a great challenge!

MamiDoodles has a Design Team!!!

I am delighted to announce that these talented girls agreed to be part of the Design Team.

I wanted to say something about them, I am not good with words but I wanted to tell you why I feel so privileged to have them on board.

Jackie: I know Jackie the longest, like me, she's an "oldie" in the Cara Craft Supplies forum and through that forum I got to go in what was probably the first Irish crop back in 2005 where I met Jackie in person . She's an experienced, talented cardmaker, stamper, (the list goes on) always willing to share her knowledge. She holds monthly cardmaking workshops which are always sold out.

Deirdre - My teamie in PaperPlay Challenges. Her work is always beautiful and original, a blogger newbie; when I first visited her flickr gallery, my jaw dropped, so much talent.

Lily - Whenever I want to see something inspirational, I pop in Lily's blog, i think she shines in two counts - first she is mega creative and second she has lots of technical ability. She colours like an angel!

Vera aka Ling - A cardie and a scrapper, she does both with talent, when I see what she does, the words that came to my mind are clean style, delicate finish and dimensional details. I also love that she "blogs" a lot, I think she puts a lot of herself in her blog.

Rachel - In two seconds looking at Rachel's blog, I found out that she is very young, very talented and very generous. Rachel is probably also the youngest in cardmaking as he started only over a year ago. But you'd think she's a veteran, as she seems to be at home with the technique side of things too.

Sarah - Sarah's creations are always eye catching, she makes cards for wedding and other events, teaches, and I know she scrapbooks, though I haven't seen any scrapping lately. She can make these really labour intensive complicated stuff that would have me with the paper glued to my hair and face and a bit of crumpled paper as a final result - but technique is never the end objective of what she does - beauty and style is.

Sabrina (April Guest Designer) - Cardmaker, photographer and cook, she excels in everything she does. Her cards have a unique style, delicate, with beautiful colouring, often using soft, pastel colours. I also admire that she is always challenge herself and is always doing something different!

Check here on Friday for the DT first projects. In the meantime, if you still haven't done so, check their blogs, you will fall in love!

Ah, yes, I'll have a new digi stamp on Thursday. I've decided to put a little bit more organisation in this blog, so I'll be releasing new stamps every second Thursday.

Card spotting

Fabulous card by Jackie, white on white. Dreamy!!!

Original post here.

Lynda made two cards.

She used the Easter Bunny image for a birthday by covering the eggs with flowers. Clever!

Original post here.

What I first noticed about this card is how Lynda painted the mouse's fur.

I'm back!

I hope you all a Happy Easter!
I got back today and was greeted with a lovely email from Jo (Dotty's Pudding's Place) with a link to her card using the Easter Bunny.

Check out here the original post.

I know it is been a while from my latest release, but I'll have something next week, I promise - plus the  a great surprise I mentioned earlier.
